Azzurra has obtained her Master degree in Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano in 2010, after a B.Sc. in Communication Sciences at Modena and Reggio Emilia University, which laid the foundation to a design approach built on strong theoretical and social basis.
Following her Master thesis she developed a specific interest in networks and visualization tools in general for organizations.

During her PhD research she has been focusing on the visualization of organizational processes, exploring the possibilities for information and communication design as a decision support tool for organizational activities.
In 2014 she has been collaborating with QUT’s BPM Discipline group as visiting researcher.

Azzurra is currently collaborating with DensityDesign on various projects in the field of information visualization, both for teaching support and for research activities.
